Richmond Hill High School student signs with Ford Models

Normally red hair and freckles are made fun of. Not this time. Anna Lewis, our 16 year old red headed beauty from Richmond Hill High School put those freckles to use and gained the attention of the lead scout from Ford Models. In April, Anna will head to NYC to test shoot with top photographers from Ford Models, where we are sure Anna will put to use all of the techniques she learned through her modeling courses at Halo. We are so proud…and we expect big things from you, Miss Anna. Congratulations!

National Talent Scout looking for local models, actors, singers, dancers

Are you an aspiring actor, singer, dancer or model looking to perform on a national level? Have you ever thought about being in TV commercials or movies? Think you have what it takes to perform on Broadway? Maybe you’d like to sing for a record label? Have you seen a model in a magazine and thought to yourself, “I could do that.” If so, it’s time for you to take a leap of faith and audition. Breaking news:

Halo Models and Talent welcomes National talent scout for the ARTS EXPO, Mrs. Kim Myers. Kim will be at Halo this Monday, January 25 to audition local Savannah talent. Kim has been scouting talent for more than 17 years, landing many of her clients with major record labels, Broadway shows, Disney’s “Suite Life” and fashion agencies in NY and L.A. From the Broadway stage to the fashion runway, Kim has discovered countless talent from small towns like Savannah.

Looking for: Actors, models, singers, dancers ages 4 and up.

What to bring: A parent. Anyone under 18 must bring one parent. Teens/kids will not be allowed to audition without a parent. Also, please bring one non-returnable photograph. Space is limited. Please do not bring many people with you to your audition. Only a parent is necessary.

How to prepare: Models will walk runway. Actors will be given a script upon arrival. Singers will sing a song of their choice, without music. Dancers may perform a 60 second prepared dance routine with music.

Celebrate Christmas with Halo

Merry Christmas, everybody! At Halo, we are in the Christmas spirit. And if you’ve had trouble getting that sweet Christmas feeling, then let us help! Tuesday, December 15 is our Halo Christmas comedy/variety show. And when we say variety, we mean variety. Our youngest performer is age 6 and our oldest is age 73. Join us for a night of fashion, singing, dancing, and good clean fun.

Tickets are $20 and will be sold at the door.
Donations for Toys for Tots and warm winter coats will be accepted.
Tuesday, December 15
7 PM at The St. Andrews School, Skinner Hall
Doors at 6:30 PM

And you may want to warm up your vocal chords before you come…rumor has it Santa may have a few carols in mind. See you at the show!

Halo Christmas Show Tuesday, December 15 at 7 PM…

Halo Models & Talent Agency, Savannah’s premiere talent agency, will showcase their top talent to our clients, friends and family. Enjoy an evening of fashion and entertainment… fashion show by Halo models and entertainment by Halo actors, singers and dancers. Tickets to the performance are $20. Proceeds will benefit a local Savannah charity.

AUDITIONS: Models, Actors, Singers, Dancers…all performers are welcome to audition for our Christmas show. Ages 5 and older are welcome to participate. Auditions will be held at the Halo Studio Saturday, November 21 at 1 PM and 3 PM. Please RSVP for an audition time slot: HaloAgency@Yahoo.com.

REHEARSALS: All performers selected to be in the show are required to attend two rehearsals prior to the performance and one rehearsal the day of the show. Rehearsal dates are:

Tuesday, December 1 at 6 PM

Tuesday, December 8 at 6 PM

Tuesday, December 15 at 3 PM with show to follow at 7 PM.

SHOW TIME: Date of show is Tuesday, December 15 at 7 PM. Doors to the theater will open at 6:30 PM. Doors will close promptly at 7 PM for show start. All talent selected to perform are required to sell five tickets to the show. Cameras will be allowed following all performances. A staff photographer will be the only flash allowed as to not distract our performers. Photos will later be posted on the website for viewing.

Seven Halo models and Halo Director, Stephanie Duke, accepted the appropriate title of “Runway Residents” and spilled the beans on the tougher sides of the industry. Go buy a South Magazine!

Robert Redford’s “The Conspirator” casting at Halo

Halo is casting for the latest fim being shot in Savannah, “The Conspirator.”

Our first project is to find stand ins for Robin Wright Penn (Jenny/Forrest Gump) and for James McAlvoy (Antonement/Wanted/Becoming Jane) See photos below. Please understand, you must fit the description of the actor/actress or you will not be considered. Breakdown is below. Halo Male Model on the cover of Marketplace Magazine

Move over ladies… here comes Corey Sligh. This handsome male model was signed with Model Service Agency in NYC in 2007. This is Corey’s first magazine cover. Corey is a native of Atlanta and has been living in NYC for the past two years. He is also a graduate of Georgia Southern University. He is seen here on the cover of Market Place and also with Halo owner, Stephanie Duke. We are so proud of you, Corey. Congratulations!

Chelsea Scott, Halo model and student at Armstrong-Atlantic University, is on her way to New York City. Nope, not for a school field trip. Better. Chelsea has signed with Wilhelmina Models and will move to New York in September. New York fashion agents were happy to see that the 19 year old already has modeling experience…Chelsea is on the cover of this month’s Savannah Magazine. Not only does she photograph well, this beauty has talent in front of the television cameras, too. Thursday, July 30, Chelsea was featured on WJCL’s Morning Show with Jessica Kiss. After watching Chelsea’s ease and poise on camera, we have no doubt she will be anything less than a huge hit in the NY market. We ask that you keep Chelsea in your prayers as she moves to NY. Congratulations, Chelsea!
